Planting

Getting the right tree for your location is key to planning for the future enjoyment of its shade and beauty. Too often the wrong tree in the wrong place means a healthy tree gets removed after growing for years. We can help select, plant and plan for the management of the tree’s growth so you can enjoy it for years to come.

Pruning

“A prune in time saves nine”. Wise pruning and consideration of the space your tree is planted in will help ensure you get the most efficient and healthy growth from your tree. Pruning branches before they become too large not only saves you money, but saves the tree from becoming unsightly and unbalanced when large limbs are removed leaving scars that can be vulnerable to decay and insect damage.

Removal

When a tree declines and develops issues that mean it is structurally unsafe for its location a removal is sadly often necessary. Maclean Tree Care can safely and efficiently remove small to large trees and can offer to leave firewood and mulch if desired. Often the removal of a healthy tree that has become an issue can be avoided by careful pruning and management so the effects of leaf drop, shade and encroaching branches can be reduced to an acceptable level. Talk to us if you are wanting to remove a tree and we can look at a full range of options before settling on a the more costly option of removal as a final resort.

Tree Health Diagnosis

When a tree is unwell and showing signs of stress the cause of struggling tree can be found in the soil. We can take soil samples and look for nutrient deficiencies that can be remedied to steady your tree.  The identification of other diseases and bugs can give us the best chance of saving a much loved tree before it goes past the point of no return and is removed.

We can chip branches up to 10 inches in diameter and either remove or leave on site for mulch.

If you want your trees mulched to maintain nutrient release and good soil health we can provide this service. Bulk mulch delivery is also offered when our truck is full, so give us a shout so we can book you in.
